Christine Hernandez’s Case Covered in Law360 Article Titled, “BIA Didn’t Give Kenyan’s Case A Fair Shot, 10th Circ. Says”

Law360 reported on May 6, 2019, that Christine Hernandez’s work with a Kenyan client has resulted in the Board of Immigration Appeals reopening the case and reviewing her request for asylum in the US.

According to the article, “The Tenth Circuit gave a Kenyan woman a second chance to stay in the U.S. Monday after finding that the Board of Immigration Appeals didn’t properly consider her request to reopen her case after her lawyer ripped her off.”

Christine Hernandez, one of the partners at Hernandez & Associates, P.C., has been Phyllis Mwaura’s advocate following the theft of $7,000 dollars in attorney’s fees from Mwaura’s previous lawyer.
